Working principle

- Quantum dots:
QLED technology uses microscopic particles called quantum dots that glow when exposed to light. These dots are made of semiconductor materials and generate bright, accurate colors when illuminated by an LED backlight.

- LED backlight:
Behind the LCD panel is an LED backlight that illuminates the quantum dots. These dots then emit light with very specific wavelengths, resulting in purer and brighter colors.

- Color gamut and brightness:
Quantum dots allow for a wider color gamut and higher brightness compared to traditional LED TVs. This is especially useful for HDR (High Dynamic Range) content, which requires a greater range of brightness and color detail.
